Hornell Fitness Challenges & Special Events
The Hornell YMCA hosts a wide variety of fitness challenges and special events designed to motivate individuals and families of all ages to stay active and engaged. From step challenges and strength competitions to fun runs, wellness weeks, and themed group exercise classes, there are opportunities for everyone—whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to push your limits. These events encourage members to set personal goals, track progress, and challenge themselves in a supportive, welcoming environment. Along the way, participants can celebrate achievements both big and small, connect with others who share similar goals, and enjoy a strong sense of community camaraderie that makes staying healthy both rewarding and fun.
Summer Sweat Challenge
June 22 - August 28
Stop by the front desk to pick up a punch card, then attend any group exercise class to earn punches along the way! Once your card is full, turn it in at the front desk and grab a new one to keep the fun going. Every completed card entered gives you a chance to win exciting prizes like Y merchandise, a free membership, guest passes, and more!

Summer Double Ultra Triathlon Challenge
June 22 - August 28
Are you up for the challenge? YMCA Members are invited to take on the Double Ultra Triathlon, a 10-week endurance journey that tests your limits as you swim 4.7 miles, bike 220 miles, and run 52.4 miles. Finishers will earn a certificate of completion and bragging rights!
